Susan Gaines

Susan brings more than 30 years of experience in real estate tax planning, preparation, and reporting to Forum. As Director – Tax, Susan is responsible for filing the firm’s federal and state tax returns, including timely delivery of investor K-1s, and works closely with the investor relations team on tax-related reporting and investor communications.

Prior to joining Forum, Susan was a contract tax consultant to Forum and Citadel CPA Group. Before that she held numerous senior tax roles at Re/Max, UDR, DCT Industrial Trust, Ernst & Young, Douglas Allred Company, Kenneth Leventhal & Company, and Lavine, Lofgren, Morris & Engelberg.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Diego State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (Colorado). Outside of work, Susan enjoys hiking, traveling, and native plant gardening.
