Back Edward (Ted) Schmidt Senior Director - Debt Asset Management Ted brings more than 15 years of real estate finance, asset management, and fund management experience to Forum. As Senior Director – Head of Debt Asset Management, he leads asset-level management, performance reporting, loan closings and modifications, and construction draw administration across Forum’s private credit investments, partnering closely with Forum’s credit and investments teams to support a growing nationwide portfolio. Prior to joining Forum, Ted served as Senior Director, Transaction & Asset Management at AIR Communities, where he led acquisitions and dispositions across a national multifamily portfolio and partnered with the CIO on select joint venture initiatives and investor reporting. He also spent more than a decade with Bethesda Holdings / McGrath Investment Management, overseeing affordable housing assets, fund management, investor reporting, and portfolio performance. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Aimco Apartment Homes and Clifton Gunderson LLP. Ted holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from Colorado State University. Outside of work, Ted enjoys traveling with his wife and two children, especially to destinations with water or mountains, golfing, and attending sporting events.
