Chad O'Connor

Chad brings more than 10 years of multifamily and mixed-use development experience spanning acquisition, entitlements, design, construction, and asset delivery. As Managing Director – Development, he is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, executing, and delivering multifamily development investments for the firm.

Prior to joining Forum, Chad was Vice President – Acquisitions & Development at Realberry (formerly McWhinney), where he led multifamily and build-to-rent development pursuits across multiple states and helped drive significant development investments. During his tenure, he oversaw the vertical capitalization of a $71 million co-GP joint venture and placed more than $175 million of development opportunities under contract. Previously, he held development roles with Storybuilt and LCOR Incorporated, where he managed a combined $463 million development budget across multifamily and mixed-use projects.

Chad holds a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia School of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia, where he played varsity baseball. He is active in NAIOP Colorado, the Urban Land Institute, and the Denver Park Trust Outreach Committee. Outside of work, Chad enjoys skiing, mountain biking, camping, and anything else active outside with his dog and Colorado community.
